The Life’s Journey

Published by Mercy C. Kosonei on

In life, sometimes we think we know exactly where we are going, the truth is, no one really knows what tomorrow holds, today we are alive, the next day we may not. We may shield ourselves from all kinds of risks but we can never insure life, once lost, it’s gone. Therefore that’s where your spirituality comes in. Consider for a moment, why is life so fragile?

We live a distinctive life from everything else that exists in this world because we possess an aspect of existence which defines our being. This aspect of life is identified as the ‘inner man’ or rather the ‘soul’. Your soul is the true person of who you are and not your physical body. Unless the inner man is well emotionally, spiritually and psychologically, we may never experience the true life as God intended it to be.

The Spiritual connection

God created us with a perfect design and placed us in a journey called life. The Bible mentions that God created us in his His own image, (Gen 1:26-27). We bear the image of God. In Him, we live, move and have our being.

The reason why we exist is because God allowed us to, He is our destiny holder. God created each and every one of us with a reason. He  equipped us for a purpose and with a full potential. Unless we understand that purpose, we may never be satisfied even if we are doing perfectly well. There will always be a void at the deepest, innermost part of your soul, why is it so?

It’s simply because, God designed our hearts to connect with Him, to have a relationship with Him, to live and worship Him as we explore the journey of life which He has laid before us. Our destiny is in God’s hands and so we have to collaborate with Him for us to experience a meaningful life. God knows the  path we need to take, the right people we need to walk with and the obstacles we will face in the process.

To conclude, I want to reiterate my general view of this journey of life. We are all on the same road but not all of us knows why they are moving in the first place. God is our life giver, therefore we have to make a collaborative partnership with Him and understand why we are on this journey of life.
